JBBL and NATTA signed  MOU for providing financial services to its member agents

KATHMANDU, July 16:  Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) and Jyoti Bikas Bank Limited (JBBL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) collaborating in matters related to providing financial services to the members and employees of the member bodies of NATTA. The MoU was signed by Mr. Achyut Guragain, President of NATTA and Mr. Paras Raj Kandel, Deputy CEO of JBBL on the occasion of the 54th Annual General Meeting of NATTA.

The MoU intends to engage both parties, providing Professional Loan and Subsidy Loans (Women Entrepreneurship Loan at Subsidy 6%, Educated Youth Self-employed Loan and Loan to Youth returned from Foreign Employment) up to Rs.15 lakhs without collateral on the recommendation received from NATTA with the swift loan execution process.

The Professional Loan which was previously given to only professionals like Doctor, Engineer, CA, now with the initiation of NATTA, this has been given to Tourism Professionals as well. Likewise, to NATTA members Jyoti Bikas Bank shall offer the Pariwartankari Loan on the basis of Fair Market Value (FMV).

This partnership between NATTA and JBBL will largely facilitate the numerous travel and tour agents of the country by also providing them with QR codes who are engaged in the retail business. The members can open a current account at zero minimum balance.

Also, the collaboration shall look for ways of engagement to provide financial literacy programs to various stakeholders associated with NATTA and JBBL shall deploy its CSR funds for various CSR related activities related to the NATTA.

NATTA is an umbrella association of tour and travel agents in Nepal established fifty-four years ago, to accommodate around eleven hundred travel agents and tour operators across the nation and to stand tall and firm with its distinct image in Nepalese tourism landscape.

JBBL is a national level development bank licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank, established by a core group of promoters continuously assessing the needs of the common citizens and economy of the country, on the whole, the Bank has now established itself as a financial institution catering to a large segment of the society with the cause of the citizens’ needs at the centre. The partnership is believed to be assistance to the members with regards to all matters related to easy access to financial services offered by the bank.
