Double amputee Rustam Nabiev successfully scales Mt Manaslu

 October 4,Kathmandu.Double amputee Rustam Nabiev from Russia has successfully scaled Mt Manaslu (8163 m), according to expedition orgnaiser.

Nabiev stood atop the mountain on October 2 along with five Sherpa climbers at around 9:30 am, Mingma Gyalje Sherpa, Managing Director at Imagine Nepal Treks shared.

Dawa Gyalje Sherpa, Dawa Tenjin Sherpa, Kilu Pemba Sherpa, Pemba Tenjin Sherpa and Thundu Sherpa from Imagine Nepal Treks guided Nabiev to the summit point, Sherpa added.

Nabiev was a part of the Chatours Manaslu Int’l Expedition Autumn 2021.

Nabiev, a parachutist who lost his legs after the barracks collapsed in 2015, survived two clinical deaths, had also climbed Mt Elbrus last year.
