Thailand reopens three tourist beach destinations despite rising COVID cases

June 13,Thailand has agreed to reopen three of its most popular beach resorts to foreign tourists via a visa scheme. Despite an increase in COVID-19 cases around the world, the decision was made. Even as the number of COVID infections continues to rise, Thailand’s COVID-affected tourism sector is hoping for a comeback by implementing these precautions and attracting travelers. One of the most appealing aspects of this program is that it allows travelers to avoid an obligatory period of seclusion.

Krabi, Phang Nga, and Koh Samui are among the prominent tourist destinations that have reopened. In an effort to resurrect its stricken tourism industry, the country has recently eased visa requirements. Due to additional cases, Thailand had to end its quarantine-free program last week. It’s worth noting that, according to sources, Thailand was able to attract 350000 visitors through its travel programs during the COVID-free months (in just two months).
