Hotel Association of Sauraha start to promote chitwan

December 23, kathmandu. The first time in Sauraha, a ‘Let’s go around Sauraha’ campaign will be launched to promote tourism in Chitwan.Sauraha, which was hit by blockade, earthquake and upgrading of Muglin Narayangarh road, came to a standstill for a long time. For this, the Sauraha Campaign will be launched under the Sauraha Regional Hotel Association, a joint organization of hoteliers.

President of the Regional Hotel Association, Deepak Bhattarai, informed that the campaign will be launched from December 26 with a press conference and business meetings in different parts of the country. Preparations have been made to organize various programs in Biratnagar, Janakpur and Birgunj on January 26, 30 and 31 respectively.

“The tourism industry has come to a standstill due to the corona virus,” said Bhattarai. Indigenous and foreign tourists visit Sauraha, the entrance to Chitwan National Park, to see rare wild animals including rhinos, tigers and bears. Sauraha is the third largest tourist destination in the country.

Gunaraj Thapaliya, General Secretary of the Sauraha Regional Hotel Association, said that the program, which will be launched as per the plan to give indigenous tourists the opportunity to visit at affordable prices, will add new income to Sauraha’s tourism.

The association has stated that the program will be announced with an attractive package as the number of people who are disturbed while staying at home due to corona is increasing.

“Our goal is to bring Sauraha campaign with cheap packages as per the belief that Nepalese should travel at home and not abroad,” Thapaliya said. He says that this campaign will attract everyone.
