December 28, Kathmandu.Nepal Chamber of Commerce has emphasized on cooperation between Nepal and Thailand for the development and expansion of tourism sector.
The Chamber believes that the two countries should move forward together in tourism and cultural development by direct flights between Bangkok, Thailand from Gautam Buddha International Airport under construction.
At a program organized by the chamber in honor of Thai Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Vosita Vorasaph, Chamber President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha emphasized on direct Lumbini-Bangkok flight.
He said that direct air links between Lumbini and Bangkok should be taken to exploit the potential for trade, investment and tourism promotion between Nepal and Thailand and to promote the ‘Buddhist Circuit’.
During the meeting, Ambassador Vosita said that he would take initiative to expand economic relations between the two countries in collaboration with Nepali business organizations. He said that the concept of ‘Buddhist Circuit’ and direct air link between Bangkok and Lumbini have been taken positively for the expansion of tourism sector.
