Tourist Police and Tourist Guide Associations have intensified checks on tourist guide licenses.
Recently, there has been a crackdown on unlicensed guides and individuals engaging in guiding without proper authorization, citing the prevalence of unemployed licensed guides and non-guides taking up such roles.
According to Turgan in the Kathmandu Valley, tourist guides' licenses have been rigorously scrutinized in the heritage area.
The Association has urged all tourist guides to renew their licenses promptly.
Furthermore, the association has emphasized that guides should only accompany tourists after displaying their license, to ensure adherence to regulations and quality service provision.
